Locate and repair
Route records and optical testing help narrow the fault location. The team then exposes or accesses the damaged section, prepares fibres, splices and protects the repair.
Restore and learn
Retesting confirms restoration. Close-out should update records, identify the cause and record actions that reduce repeat risk.
